Organize Your Desk or Workspace

altThe New Year is always a good time to look around your home and find places to declutter everything that’s stacked up over the course of the past year. And since our desks or workspaces often end up being at the epicenter of all that clutter, why not begin your first New Years Organization project there?

altThis Fierzo Desk Organizer is a favorite of mine, because I love the way it’s wire arms seem to virtually suspend your paper reminders in mid air, while at the same time, giving the illusion of providing a visual divider on your desk or workspace.  The functional simplicity of it’s design, and the fact that it’s base cleverly doubles as a place to hold your writing implements, makes it a winner all the way around. Not only does this look great on your desk, it will also help keep all those small paper notes and reminders from piling up and getting lost on top of your desk. Now, remind me again, where did I leave that note with the painter’s phone number jotted down on it?

This contemporary carryall Toolbox by Arik Levy is made in Germany and it’s a cool, updated version of the old style plastic utilitarian style toolbox that you might remember your mom used to tote her cleaning supplies around in. It’s so roomy that it can hold pencils, notebooks, scissors, staplers, tape and any other things you like to keep within arms reach on your desk. But it’s not just limited to your desk top, it can also be used in the kitchen for cooking utensils, in the bathroom for toiletries and cosmetics or to store yarn or sewing supplies so they will be handy when you get your next inspiration to do a new project.

altThe Nava Today Calendar will not only give a cool modern look to your desktop, but it’s also a perpetual calendar that allows you to change the month, day and date, by simply moving around the corresponding cards, so it might just be the last calendar you’ll ever need to buy. It’s sized at 14.5”W x 4.25” H x 3”D so it can easily sit along the back edge of you desk where it will be in plain sight, but without taking up hardly any room on your desk surface.
