Katie Holmes’ Prenup Means She Won’t Get Much In Divorce

Katie Holmes doesn’t stand to walk away with anything substantial in her divorce from Tom Cruise, and she’s okay with that.

Before Katie and Tom tied the knot five years ago, she signed a very lengthy prenup that basically entitles her to whatever she brought with her to the marriage, and that’s all. Early reports said she’d get only about $15-$20 million dollars, but according to TMZ, she won’t even receive close to that number, even though Tom is worth an estimated $275 million.

Katie will still rake in a big amount in child support for their daughter Suri, but a source close to her says it’s not about the money. “She’s not about the money. She’s not that girl. She loves to work. Money is not that important to her. She makes plenty on her own.”

The media is making it seem like things may get a little nasty as Tom and Katie fight it out over custody of their daughter and some claim that Tom will fight to have the divorce dealt with in California and not New York. Let’s hope they can work this out amicably, for Suri’s sake.
