Gwyneth Paltrow has been keeping busy this week promoting her new cookbook on both coasts.
Gwyneth was all around NYC last week and now she’s back in L.A. to continue the promotion of “My Father’s Daughter: Delicious, Easy Recipes Celebrating Family & Togetherness”. Here she is at the Williams-Sonoma store in Los Angeles yesterday signing copies for fans.
Earlier in the week she stopped by to chat with Rachael Ray about her family’s reaction to the book: “Gosh, I mean my family loved the book, and you know, everybody seems like they’re happy with it in my family. And my mom did mind pictures of my brother and stuff going in it. When I started cooking, about twenty years ago, I definitely made some epic mistakes. And, yeah I got some criticisms, especially from my brother, who, you know was really the first guy I cooked for. We lived together here in Manhattan , down in Soho. And, you know, I was reading books and making dinners and stuff like that. He’d be like ‘this tastes like cardboard, what the hell is this?’!”
Gwyneth also shared that she doesn’t have some miracle metabolism, she works really hard to stay in shape: “Oh god. I put in a minimum of an hour and a half, five days a week. But I eat, like I love food and I can’t cut food out. And so I know what it takes. There’s no magic, there’s no fairy dust, like it’s not “good gene’s” it’s like I work my a** of and I work my a** off!”
Do you buy celebrity cookbooks? I have a family member, who shall remain nameless, who is a cookbook junkie. Not me, I’m all about the online recipes – much easier to store them. Hah.
