With spring upon us, so come the feathered friends.  Make this as a treat for the neighborhood birds and soon word will spread that your yard is delish!  Invite the kiddos to help out too.

MATERIALS

  • Peanut butter
  • Wild bird seed
  • Natural elements (pinecones, liquid amber seed pods)

INSTRUCTIONS

Start by getting a good amount of peanut butter with your hands (kids love this part)

Smear it over the entire pinecone

Once it is all covered, place it in the bowl of bird seed

Cover the entire pinecone pressing in the seed, and then re-covering.  Place it on a piece of wax paper until all the others are complete

Place them all in a pedestal plate and put in your yard and get out the binoculars!
