DIY:Friendship Bark

This tasty Valentine's snack is a cinch to make and an even easier treat to give.  With just the right balance between sweet and salty, this bark can be made the night before the big day.

And, the printable bag tag is a bonus to create a lovely little package for the little ones.

MATERIALS for 20-25 bags

  • 8 cups Corn Chex
  • 4 cups pretzels
  • 2 cups M&M's
  • 2 cups red vines, chopped
  • 16oz. white candy melts
  • 8oz. red candy melts
  • sprinkles
  • sandwich baggies
  • cardstock paper
  • scissors
  • Free Printable

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large bowl, combine the chex, pretzetls, M&M's and licorice

Melt the white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl until smooth

Pour the chocolate over the bowl ingredients and mix to completely cover

Turn onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet, pressing the snack mix together

Melt the red chocolate in the microwave and turn into a baggie.
Snip the end of the baggie to create an to dispense ribbons of
red over the entire snack mix

Pour the sprinkles over the red ribbons

After the bark is completley cooled, break off a few pieces and place into a sandwich baggie

Cut the printable where indicated

Fold over the baggie and staple in place

Hand out to the little ones with a sense of accomplishment!
