Ginger-Maple Crisps Recipe
This delicious, no stress, guilt-free ginger maple crisps recipe is made with whole grain flour, warm spices, and maple syrup. Make them in under 30 minutes.
- whole spelt flour (or whole wheat flour): ½ cup
- brown sugar: ⅓ cup
- baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- ground ginger: 1 ½ teaspoons
- ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
- allspice: ½ teaspoon
- maple syrup: ½ cup
- milk: ¼ cup
- melted butter (or coconut oil): ½ cup
Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, ground ginger, cinnamon, and allspice together.
Step 2: Add maple syrup, milk, and melted butter to the bowl. Mix until dough comes together.
Step 3: Divide dough in half, and roll out in between two pieces of plastic wrap (about 1/8 inch thick).
Step 4: Cut out desired shapes using a cookie cutter. Transfer to baking sheet.
Step 5: In a small bowl mix the brown sugar and ground ginger together.
Step 6: Sprinkle sugar-ginger mixture over the cookies.
Step 7: Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
