Ingredients:

    • cake mix and accompanying ingredients: to make 24 cupcakes
    • white decorator icing: 4 cups
    • green food coloring: a few drops
    • black food coloring: a few drops
    • green melting chocolate (or white melting chocolate and green food color): 16 ounces
    • marshmallows: 24
    • thin pretzel sticks: about 12
    • wax paper: 1 large piece
    • Wilton 1M decorator tip: 1
    • Wilton #5 decorator tip:1
    • green cupcake wrappers: 24

    Directions:

Step 1: Preheat your oven according to your cupcake package or recipe directions. Make the cupcake batter according to package directions.

Step 2: Prepare cupcake pans with 24 green cupcake wrappers.

Step 3: Pour batter into the cupcake wrappers, filling each one about ¾ths full. Bake the cupcakes according to the package or recipe directions.

Step 4: Set the cupcakes aside to cool completely.

Step 5: While the cupcakes are cooling, melt the 16 ounces of green melting chocolate according to the package directions. If you can’t find green melting chocolate you can use white chocolate with green food color made for chocolate candies.

Step 6: Dip each marshmallow in the melted green chocolate and coat it completely.

Step 7: Set each marshmallow upright on a piece of wax paper to let the chocolate cool and harden.

Step 8: Before the chocolate hardens add a small ¼ inch piece of pretzel to each side of the marshmallow about 1/3 of the way down, for Frankenstein’s knobs.

Step 9: Once the cupcakes and the marshmallows have cooled mix 3½ cups of the white decorator icing with green food color. Mix the other ½ cup of icing with a couple drops of black food coloring.

Step 10: Add the green icing to a pastry bag with the Wilton 1M decorating tip attached to the end. Fill the bag about half way full of icing to start.
