Grammy winner Christina Aguilera and fiance Matt Rutler welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, on Saturday, Aug. 16.
The 33-year-old singer gave birth via a C-section at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. “So proud to welcome our beautiful daughter Summer Rain Rutler into the world,” she wrote on Twitter on Sunday
Their new daughter is the first child for Rutler and the second child for Aguilera. She has a 6-1/2-year-old son, Max, whose father is her ex-husband Jordan Bratman.
The Voice coach and Rulter, a movie production assistant, met on the set of her movie Burlesque and got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2014. She announced her pregancy a week later.
Earlier in August, V Magazine unveiled a glamorous photo shoot of Aguilera, posing nude a la Demi Moore. “Xtina” posted the photo on Instagram, thanking the photo crew for “Giving me the freedom to bare my soul & body at this incredible, magical, transition time in my life. #Grateful.”
A few days later, she posted another Instagram photos of herself in the recording studio with headphones around her baby bump, writing, “baby girl getting first listen to what mama’s been creating in the studio.”
In June she told People magazine, her second pregnancy has been a breeze. “This has been a very easy and enjoyable pregnancy.”
