I added a twist to the normal frozen banana pop and created a delight not only for the mouth, but the eyes too!
- Candy Melts
- Popsicle sticks
- Assorted confections (I used crushed oreos, m&ms, sprinkles and pistachios)
Start by cutting a banana in half and inserting a stick in each half. If your bananas are very soft, you can place them in the freezer for a few minutes to harden a bit
Microwave the chocolate on low, stirring every 30 seconds, until completely melted. Apply a hefty amount to the banana on a stick. HINT: If you had to pre-freeze the bananas, make sure to work quickly here so the chocolate doesn’t harden
Dip the chocolate covered banana into the topping of your choice to thoroughly coat it
Place the bananas on a parchment lined cookie sheet and place in the freezer for at least two hours to completely harden
